Film direction for the Profoto Spot Small commercial worldwide campaign in Paris, France
Light and music. Brother and sister.
Each is shaped by presence and absence, by fullness and void.
Each beam of light is a note.
Each shadow, a rest.
Light without absence is like music without silence.
A film directed by Cyrille Parry for Profoto.
Profoto is the world’s leading manufacturer of professional lighting equipment,
trusted by photographers and creative directors across the industry. For this
project, Cyrille Parry was commissioned to direct a film that captures the
quality of Profoto light — its precision, its depth, and the way it transforms
a subject into something worth remembering.
Shot in France, the film explores the relationship between controlled light and
natural presence. The direction prioritizes atmosphere over demonstration: the
product lives inside the image rather than in front of it.
Arlency Films works with brands that understand that a film is not a brochure.
It is a point of view. This collaboration with Profoto is built on that shared
conviction.
